Introduction

The success of any organization depends largely upon the performance of the employees, which is why companies are shifting their focus to provide a better environment at the workplace for increasing the performance and productivity of business. Organizations in the modern era face a lot of conflict in their day to day activities like conflict of interest and conflict of opinion are more common in businesses, which sometime creates problems and affect the performance of employees. Conflict is the main hindrance to an organization's growth or expansion, which is why it is significant, for organizations to implements policies / strategies related to conflict resolutions. Such conflict may also affect the growth of the company that is why, need for conflict resolution emerged. There are a lot of ways to resolve the conflict in business, however, team-building exercise has been proven much effective in conflict resolution than others measures taken to resolve such issues.

On the other hand, sometimes conflict can be utilized in favor of the business, but this also entails the process of team building. Through team building process, companies can resolve the conflicts as well as can use the conflicts in favor of the organization. When conflict arises individuals examine their roles and responsibilities much clearer, which enables them to work more efficiently. It has been observed that organization that practiced team building exercise regularly can boost the efficiency of its staff, by optimizing their strengths and minimizing their weaknesses. Such exercise helps to strengthen the relationship of the employees, which prevents conflicts during work. (Schellenberg, 1996)
