Organizational behavior

Organizational behavior as they relate to business finance and the application of ethical standards

Introduction

Organizational behavior is the study of the human behavior (employees' behavior) within the organization. It deals with the behavior of employees and attitudes either in a positive way, or negative way, throughout their organizational culture. It is also the study of team dynamics because; in each organization employees' perform in the shape of team. It is essential for managers to understand organizational behavior, in order to know the behavior of employees, which they show towards their work either in a better way or worst way. Managers also adopt certain methods, to improve the wrong performances of employees. Through many years, organizational behavior theories have been researched and noticed and, these theories have helped in making organizational behavior. System has been improved time to time, to make improvement in employees' progress and, overall result is good performance, and outcomes for organizations. There are four key elements noticed through organizational behavior model in each organization, which are psychology, sociology, political sciences, anthropology and economics.

Organizational behavior as a study is a filed which relates to the investigation of various impacts that individuals, structures and groups have on the behavior within a particular organization. It's a dynamic filed which includes various other studies including psychology, sociology, communication and management as it sets off the academic studies relating to the organizational theory focusing on intra organizational and organizational topics and studies which are related to the human resource and which is business oriented and more applied. Organizational behavior refers to the organizational science or organizational studies and reaches out its roots into organizational and industrial psychology.

Organizational studies covers the studies related to the organizations from a multitude of viewpoints, level of analysis and methods. These viewpoints vary among different theories for they can be from perspective of micro organizational behavior which particularly refers towards an individual or a group dynamics in a particular organization setting. There are organizational theory and strategic management on macro level which is focused on studies related to a whole organization or industries, how their contingencies, structures, and strategies guide them and how they adapt.

One of the most important and challenging tasks of an organization is organizing and controlling the people are the main working force. There is possibility that an organization may just begin with only one person doing most or all of its work, but as the business grows and develops, there is generally much more work which is required and therefore, much more people are required to be a part of the work force and to perform the various necessary tasks, and because of this high level division of labor and work, individuals tend to become specialists on a certain task or job.
