Areas for Improvement

The organization needs to improve the communication mechanism prevalent in the firm. The firm should try to reduce the organizational hierarchy and should focus on establishing decentralized form of management within the organization. This will ensure that communication flows freely in the organization and people are well connected with each other. The management of the company needs to encourage participation from all the employees so that everybody is well informed and gives their inputs for the firm's betterment.

The organization needs to adopt 360 degree feedback within the organization so that a fair evaluation of all the people and practices would be done. This would ensure greater accountability and ensure that people get to know about how they are performing at all the stages. 360 degree feedback will improve structural changes in the organization and this will held the upper management accountable for their actions. The 360 degree feedback will make the organization more efficient and transparent; this will provide a fair reflection of the work being done by all the employees (Luthans F., Peterson S, 2003).

The management philosophy needs to be changed. The management style should be changed the democratic form of management. This will provide employees a chance to provide their inputs to the way how things should be done and this will make them feel more empowered and valued. A democratic form of management will adopt the principles of delegation and employee empowerment. This will make employees feel part of the organization and they will become more responsible. Democratic form of management will serve as a motivating factor for all the employees and will make them feel more inspired and loyal towards the organization (Rosen, et al, 2000).

The chain of command needs to be reduced to a great extent so that people are well connected with each other. This will ensure that decisions are taken quickly and will promote the organization wide goals. An open door policy should be implemented in the organization; this will better encourage the employees to talk confidently with their reporting authorities. A sound mission and vision for the organization needs to be devised and everyone should be asked to come forward and contribute towards this cause. When everyone will share their inputs into the firm's mission and vision a more realistic and achievable target will be set while ensuring the concerns of all the stakeholders are met.

When shared goals will be set the organization will change for the better and the entire objective will be met with ease (Brett, J.F.,Atwater, L.E, 2001). The organization should conduct internal audits as well as encourage external audits from credible external sources so that fair practices are promoted and everything is done in the right manner. This will enhance the credibility and transparency in the organization.
