Introduction

The Company Siemens AG is a German origin multinational company whose headquarter is located in Munich Germany. It is listed as the largest European origin electronics and Electrical Engineering Company. The major activities of the company are in the areas of energy, transportation, industry and healthcare. It is divided into five core divisions which are Energy, Industry, Healthcare, infrastructure and cities and Siemens financial services. The company and its subsidiaries involve around 360,000 employees in around 190 different countries and add global revenue of around 73.5 billion Euros according to the reports published in 2011. The Company has been listed primarily in Frankfurt stock exchange and a secondary listing on the New York stock exchange. Products and services Siemens provides a huge range of electrical engineering and electronics related products and services. The productions of Siemens can be categorized as building related products, energy related products, drives, automation and industrial plant related products, medical products, lighting, transportation and logistics and medical products.

The building related products of Siemens consist of building automation systems and equipments, building operational systems and equipments, safety systems and equipments for buildings, building security and access control systems, low voltage switch gears which also includes which also include circuit protection systems and distribution products.

The drives, automation systems and plant related products of Siemens comprises of motors and drives for running conveyer belts, compressors and pumps, drives for heavy duty motors and motors themselves, rolling mills for metals and steel, compressors for gas and oil pipelines, different mechanical components including gears for wind turbines and cement factories, automation systems, equipments and their controls for the production machinery and tools for machines and industrial plants for the processing of raw material and water.
