This test is made to assess different taxonomic levels of a student, including synthesis, analysis and knowledge. It is a verbal type of test. This test covers, only the information contained within the novel, Oliver Twist and uses different questions to assess the student's abilities of analyzing, synthesizing and memorizing the material within their curriculum. The paper comprises of different questions, some emphasizing only on the knowledge base of the students while others requiring both knowledge and analysis and synthesis skills. This approach to assess different taxonomic levels of students will help in analyzing student's abilities in a better way than simply asking random knowledge based questions. This paper is made for the student's of 11th grade of American Literature. The students will cover the whole novel during their class lectures including the use of vocabulary, story, literature, key terms, characters and theme of the novel.
The test will use different types of questions including matching, completion, true/false and multiple choice questions. The students are expected to have covered the novel in depth using character mapping, study through different perspectives, sharing thoughts and feelings of the individual characters, oral reports and dialogues. Therefore, students are expected to know all the characters, identify their words, analyze different scenarios and synthesize conclusions in different situation.
