The reflective essay I am writing is about communication between patients and health care facilitators, as to how they can take care of the patient and what role does communication plays in it. This essay is written because of “the incident occurred in the theatre when a mother is accompanying her 14 year old daughter to have a small tumor remove from the left breast”. Reflection can be defined as a situation in which we are try to learn something in by considering ourselves in some one's situation. As here, we are considering in health care. Reflection in action is when we are assuming ourselves to be fully involved in the patients situation. While reflection on action is how can we be better deal with the situation.communication plays an important role in this type of situation. I have chosen this topic because I want to expand my level of information regarding the nursing care as far as patients are concerned (Boud, 2003, 12).
Nursing brief overview
Nursing is a discipline and the academic profession past practice have been formed by women. Nursing has historically been viewed as an extension of the role of women in the family. Organized care has its roots in religious orders of men and women, such as the Templars, from century to the era of Florence Nightingale, considered the mother of professional care. Nurses, with a planned educational program began with the work of Nightingale, one of the two daughters of an English family wealth and influence. Nurse plays an important role in this discipline as about the situation mentioned above
John's model of reflection
John's model incorporates all the key elements of reflection. Arguably, focusing on reflection on action, but with practice could be used to focus the discussion and before the action (Ghaye, 2004, 14). As mentioned in the situation above relates to me as a student nurse for 3 years. I have taken keen interest in communicating with patients along with my studies I have been a student nurse. Here I am writing about communication with the cancer patients as to what is there reaction before the patient is being operated how I was be able to face it and how that patient girl should be dealt regarding this perspective (Ghaye, 2004, 14).

The incident
The patient, who was admitted to the hospital for the treatment of tumour, was not able to speak English at all. Within no time we managed to find a health professional within the hospital that was not able to communicate with the patient. When the cancer patient arrived, she was able to convey her needs and preferences. It was then decided that the patient can note the records as well as make a list of all the details and keep it on the table which was kept beside her for a more focused care. The patient had many questions in her mind she was able to write ...
