General Public View about Nursing and Nurses as a Profession

Introduction

In this part of the paper, we have discussed that, nursing is about caring about humanity and the system of nursing provides the mechanism by which the nurse uses their opinions, knowledge and skills to diagnose and treats the patient's response.

Discussion

In this part, of the paper different public views have been discussed and historical information is compared to the present state of public view regarding nurses and nursing as a profession.

Background or historical information

From the history of nursing at present, the different societies have remained constant change the stigma of nursing, allowing the information is maintained in continuous evolution. In the past 20 years, the profession has evolved dramatically as a scientific discipline. People in the past used to have negative perceptions regarding people adopting nursing as their profession they thought that the nurse is there only to assist doctors and clean the patients.

My position & Rationale for My position

Despite all the hard work that nurses do, people seem to complain. Over a dozen of people, I talked to have a low opinion about nurses, but only three of them had actually witnessed poor treatment by nurses. Maybe the same way I had formed it when I believed what people said. I am a nurse and I went in this profession despite knowing what people think about this profession because I feel for humanity, and my aim is to serve people. The opinion of the population received nursing care is closely related to the compliance of these professionals with their responsibilities.

Recommendation

In this paper of the paper, we have given recommendation to improve the system of nursing in order to make it possible for people to serve for humanity, but due to the public view they are unable to do what they want to. Further it is also observed from the studies that in the future there would be a shortage of nurses so in order to overcome this problem given recommendations should be followed.

Conclusion

In this part of the paper, we have analyzed the entire paper and came to a conclusion that, Nurses and the general public need to move past the assumption that traditional political approaches are the only way to influence public policy. Throughout the study and practice of each profession, we develop values, judgments, beliefs that shape our decision making and our conduct.
