Introduction

The primary goal of palliative care is to provide the highest degree of comfort to the sick and to support their relatives, in particular, the primary caregiver. This could well define as "The overall feeling of satisfaction or relief needs - physical, psychological, emotional, social and / or spiritual - that can patient experience, intermittently, continuous or sporadic, along the last stage of life” and is achieved with the work low multidisciplinary palliative care teams (Ferguson

2012, pp. 10-65). One of the basics to keep in mind is that the well-being or quality of life is different for every person and every moment, because what a day may originate it will not necessarily next day. Professional registered nurses are the ones who deliver the care to their patients but it also face many issues among which the communication, teamwork and use of nursing informatics are most important. In this paper these issues are discussed while concerning the GRNs.

Discussion

Identification of issue # 1: Communication

During my nursing practice I observed that communication becomes an issue in professional nursing if it is not thoroughly followed (see appendix 1A).For delivering quality care in nursing, interpersonal and intrapersonal communications skills are very important. The communication skills are identified as one of the important skills students of nursing must attain to make a progress in their education and training period of becoming professional nurses (Webb, n.d, pp. 1-18). In professional nursing, conveyance of information in short period of time is a common practice. In order to conduct it efficiently, nurses must be aware of the factors that may influence their communication process. These factors may include the settings, in which communication occurs, personal perceptions of both the sender and receiver and also the past experiences (Casey and Wallis, 2011, pp. 25-37). Breakdown in communication process may also produce negative results.

Critical Discussion

Lack of communication among the team members as well as with the patients may lead to an ineffective nursing practice. On the other hand good communication in nursing is essential for the patient care and for good results (Hart, n.d. pp. 1-48). Good communication within the health care leads to better health outcomes, to strengthen confidence in the health care and greater patient satisfaction. It reduces the number of medical errors and increase the access to and use of medical facilities including those for preventive care. It is imperative for GRNs to understand that without effective communication, it is impossible to a treatment of good quality to be supplied or the patient to make his own choices and his own direction to perform (Ferguson, 2012, pp. 10-65). It is a common practice that GRNs are not completely aware of the professional language used to communicate in professional nursing. The lack of clarity and precision are the result of an inadequate vocabulary words poorly chosen, clichés, slang, structures difficult phrases, poor organization of ideas and lack of co- are very common heritage.
