A stereotype is consensual, shared by all; they provide a representation of the world. But they are not based on "truth." A stereotype is shared beliefs regarding the characteristics of a class. As for our dogs, I think we are more in the stigma in a simple stereotype. Why I say this simply because that stigma is a very negative stereotype disabling and discriminative.
