Introduction

New York and New Jersey both have a history staring from the early and mid seventeenth century respectively. First settlement in New York took place when Henry Hudson discovered Manhattan Island in 1609, during his work at Dutch East India Company. Whereas, first ever settlement in Jew Jersey's was at Elizabethtown in 1644. Both states are a part of the original thirteen colonies.
