Nature, My Best Friend
Introduction
“Nature is wise, and man, no matter how hard he try, can never overcome it” (Garber, 2003).
Nature holds a very significant place in our lives. Unfortunately, people do not realize the importance of nature, although we are surrounded by such mesmerizing beauty of nature, such as trees, fruits, flowers, mountains, sea, river, sky, clouds and all the animals but we just tend to ignore it and take these precious things for granted. However, I did not realize the importance of nature in our lives just like other people, until I got old. The reality struck to me when I reached that phase of life where I lost the nature that I truly appreciated the most. Only then I understood that nature is the main source of our well being and happiness.

I enjoyed climbing up the tree and eating the fresh sour lemons, the delicious apples, the sweet oranges, the tasty pears. I used to climb up and sit on the broad trunk of the tree and eat all kinds of fruits while hearing the lovely colorful birds tweeting and chirping all around the tree. They were not scared of me; in fact they sat with me on the same trunk while I fed them some fruits too.
There was also a stable where my grand pa had kept horses, hens, rabbits and ducks. I loved to feed them and chase them around the field. I felt that even the animals enjoyed my company. When they see me coming to the farm over the weekend; I could hear ducks quacking and horses neighing with excitement. As if they have been waiting for the weekend to come so they could play with me, just the way I wait for the days to pass ...
