Component 1: World view of God

Christianity is a relationship. Is friendship with God through Jesus Christ? God intended our relationship with him is reflected in our relationships with others. This is the command given in Ephesians 5:1: "Therefore, are imitators of God as dear children." This is regal for life is based on a passage that speaks of the positive features of goodness, love and forgiveness. Illustrated by the sacrifice of Jesus, came to be sacrifice as a result of these attributes. So is God. He is kind, loving and forgiving. He has demonstrated these attributes in Jesus for our benefit. Now we are asked to imitate God in our dealings with others.

How do we show the character of God in our relationships? See what we're asked to do verses 12 to 15 Chapter 5: In trying to be mature, we will be aware of our weaknesses. We will realize our own losses. At times, we may have ignored what God wants, or, even, we rebel against it. If we depend only on ourselves, is sure to fail. Perfection is only found in God through Jesus. God will help us with this difficult imperative to be mature (5:23).

Only God perfects us. He alone has the power to do this. Once we have done everything that will enable us, we still depend on Him will be a temptation to honor our own accomplishments and criticizing others. The Pharisee in Luke 18:11-12, doing good works, but forgot to depend on God. It was a very diligent religious sinner, which I needed God's help, but did not realize it. The publican of Luke 18.13, it was aware of his dependence on God. God was pleased to help. God is a generous God, who wants to make us partakers of His life and holiness. He gave Jesus for this to become a reality. We will be mature Christians, as we seek God's help in this life and eternity. We depend on God. We depend on God.
