Multiple Myeloma is the development of cancer of white blood cells or the plasma cells. White blood cells play the most important part in performing the defensive action against infections and the function of plasma cells is to make the anti bodies. In case of Multiple Myeloma, the plasma cells begin to make large amount of anti bodies. These antibodies begin to affect the immune system. These plasma cells are made in the bone marrow and release immunoglobulin. In case of excessive release of immunoglobulin, the bones, kidneys, immune system and red blood cells get affected.

Symptoms
Symptoms of this disease depend on the stage of disease. The most common symptoms of multiple myeloma, which are common in most of the patients, are release of excessive proteins in the urine and blood. Another significant indication is the pain in bones, with high calcium rate in blood level. The efficiency of bone marrow being disturbed calcium is usually released in the blood (Brown, & Ho, 2005, p.25). Other general symptoms are the excessive thirst, as its patient most of the time complains of the excessive thirst. With excessive thirst, there is excessive urination with release of calcium and proteins. In contrast with excessive thirst, there is problem of constipation and loss of appetite.
Some prominent symptoms that patient feel are the vomiting and nausea. There were complaints of abdominal pain as well. Most of the time patient feels fatigue, tiredness and breathlessness. Body becomes more vulnerable to infections; bruised skin is also very significant symptom to analyze the proper condition. Apart from these symptoms there is also bleeding from nose, gums or other areas. Weight loss is also an important indication of this disease.
