The life expectancy in United Kingdom is increasing since few last years because of the creation of sanitary reforms that provided the citizens a healthier life (NHS, 2011, n.d.). The death rate in the great cities of United Kingdom is declining due to the formation of sanitary reforms that is working on the grounds of benefiting the citizens. Now the citizens can access to the unlimited water, fresh air, and less polluted environment. The death rate in London has dramatically decreased. In overall European state, the death rate is higher than the death rate in London. Although, London is the biggest city with a dense population but health reforms brought active changes in the healthcare system of London that increased the life expectancy of males and females and reduced the mortality rate (Kent, 2000, p. 4). However, therefore some cities in United Kingdom whose mortality rate is constantly increasing because of fewer privileges provided to the citizens (Oakes, 2008, p.150). The main reason of mortality in citizens is HIV, AIDS, road accidents, strokes, heart attack, suicides, injuries, heart diseases, cancer, maternal deaths, and other diseases. The infant death rate in London is lower than the rate in other cities of United Kingdom. (Nazroo et al., 2008, p.267-268). The rate of road accidental deaths reduced in 2010 from 2009. The accidents reported in 2010 were 208,648; the figure reduced by 6% form 2009. The surveys show that the life expectancy of the female is higher than the life expectancy of males. Since the World War 2, the life expectancy rate increased in United Kingdom. the comparison of life expectancy rate in United Kingdom and European union shows that the life expectancy at the age of 65 years is more in United Kingdom that the overall European union. The life expectancy rate in United Kingdom is 20.8 whereas in European Union, the life expectancy rate is 20.7. The rate of death of male due to heart diseases is higher than the rate of deaths in female. The age group and mortality shares a strong association. On the other hand, life expectancy and the age group share a reciprocal association.

The above data shows that the life expectancy of females in Manchester is 77.8 and the life expectancy of males is 71.8. From these figures, it is clear that the female has higher rates of long life than males in both countries. The above table shows that the life expectancy rate in London is greater than the life expectancy rate in Manchester. The mortality rate in Manchester is higher than the mortality rate in London. The mortality rate is divided according to the different causes of mortality. There are many factors that contribute to the increased death rate in London and ...
