Introduction

This case shows one of the hard realities an individual has to face during his or her live in an apartment where people of different types, age and sex live. There is a difference of opinion in the matters and are often very difficult to solve. It requires patience, strong negotiation skills, and understanding of law to bring the things on the right track.

The story revolves around two individuals who always end up in a difficult situation due to misunderstanding and mistrust among individuals living in the apartment. Conflicts are often created and are difficult to resolve. Sometimes rules of a particular area or apartment are such difficult that it creates problems for the residents.

Discussion

Dubois is very unfortunate as he had to face problems from other residents and apartment management where ever he moved. When he moved to oceanfront condominium on Diamond Head's "Gold Coast”, he had to face discrimination from other residents of the apartment as the he was a gay. He had complained to the management, but they did not pay attention to his request or demands. The case depicts that once individuals or residents of an apartment have discrimination against other individuals than it creates a problem for them. They do not see what is right or wrong, often discrimination lead to decision making among individuals, and it creates a problem for the society or individual living in the apartment (Samina, A., & Vinita, M, 2010).
