Introduction

The world as we know it has become technology depended on the facilities like Television, Internet and cellular phones. At least one of these facilities remains with us throughout the day. The first person who introduced us to the first cellular device was Marti Cooper in April, 1973. After that, the time by time enhancements and technology advancements has taken this device into new level beyond the imagination at that time. At present time, cell phones are one of our basic needs and our trustworthy companion in everyday life. The television has become such an integral part of homes in the modern world that it is hard to imagine life without television. Although it's the best media regarding mass communication and information upgrade, but medically and psychologically it has some serious disadvantages too.

Technological developments have improved quality of life for most people to some extent, however excessive dependence on technology just like taking the slow poison which could destroy people's health.

Merits

The search for employment and employees is a market; the Internet has had a huge impact on the processes involved in dynamic markets, making them more efficient and flexible. Although the management of human resources is a strategic area, many professionals are wasting much of their time on paperwork, many of the transactions that require paper can be made in form of self-service on the web. Moreover, the human resource management is complex and dynamic. It changed dramatically with the Internet (and similar technologies such as Intranet), and promises to do so in the future. Thus, there are several possible applicative benefits that get achieved from internet for the human resource management (Bodea, & Zsolt, 2003).

The Internet was initially funded by the government and it was started for research, education, and other governmental uses. Its commercial usage was prohibited unless it directly related to education and research. It continued until the early 90's, and then all of a sudden independent commercial networks came into existence. Then, it became possible to route traffic across the United States from one site to another without going through the government funded NSF Net Internet backbone (Stross, 2008). Internet is the sources of a number of good information resources where students like us can get a broad range of information ranging from academic to career related. Moreover, sharing information over the internet is one of the cheapest and fastest means. One can easily collect information from the internet resources, without the agony reading lots of pages to search one thing (University of Rhode Islands, 2011).

Demerits

The Internet at present time became a very important part of our life. It is the largest source of any information and a good communication channel.
