Introduction

Barr conceives the museum of modern art as a laboratory. He was able to develop not only the museum of modern art but canon of modernism that aligned with the broad, general public. This paper discusses Barr's views on the modern museum and analyses how the latest techniques have changed the traditional museums into state of ten art facilities.

The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) is a museum of modern art and contemporary inaugurated. The institution maintains one of the most important collections of modern and contemporary art in the world. MoMA's collection is rich in modern and contemporary art productions, in fields as diverse as painting, sculpture, drawing, but photography, design, video and film. We must also rely on the rich documentary record, whether the archives of MoMA's exhibitions and activities or individual libraries (Bolter, 2000, 1999). Alfred Barr, director of young Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, perhaps the century's most influential museum. Barr made the museum popular among the American press, who called him "the brothel of the street 53. He created in Wellesley the first university course devoted exclusively to the United States to modern art, showing there already an interest not only in painting, sculpture and graphic arts, but also for photography, architecture, industrial design, theatre and film (Beardon, 1997, 76). He was appointed director of MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) who had just opened, there realized his plans and immediately made a museum with representation from all the contemporary visual arts. From there comes the idea of new media in the museum environment. 1943 was the time duration when museum had some of the most prestigious shows, exhibitions that had a considerable influence on art history, shaping the vision of young painters in New York, marking the discerning future abstract expressionists (Beardon, 1997, 77). For Barr, the museum was a laboratory where the public invited to participate actively, and in this laboratory Barr directed over hundred exhibitions. Mention Modern Architecture in 1932, Machine Art in 1934, African Negro Art in 1935, Photography from 1839 to 1937 in 1937, especially Cubism and Abstract Art in 1936 and Fantastic Art, Dada and Surrealism in 1936 also show the catalogues written by Alfred Barr. The success of Museum of Modern Art led people to think about new media in the museum environment (Marty, 2008, 32). In this paper, we are going to discuss the degree of new media in museums and will also discuss the how the new media facilitating vision of Alfred H. Barr. The paper highlights the technologies that are emerging and impact the education and interpretation in the museum environment. The world is changing, and alternative techno lies provide ingenious idea. The information system and news on climate become unstable and al this facilitated by social media, which was arduous years back.
