In biological terms, a vector is an organic agent which generally serves as a transmission medium to another body. Vectors being studied biological causes of disease, but also as potential cures for humans. Vector is called a mechanism, generally a body which transmits an infectious agent or infesting from individuals affected others not yet carry the agent. For example the mosquito family Culicidae is vectors of several viruses and protozoa pathogens.
