Mephedrone, 4-methylmethcathinone (4-MMC), a synthetic drug of the cathinone and amphetamine classes. It is used as a stimulant drug. It is used in many parts of the world. It is available in the tablets form or powder, which can be swallowed or snorted. Along with stimulant effects, many side effects occur such as with teeth grinding. Mephedrone was made in 1929, but rediscovered in 2003. In 2010, it was made illegal by the law agencies in many countries (Camilleri, Johnston, Brennan, Davis, & Caldicott, 2010).
