Introduction

Neutropenic sepsis is basically the management and preventationin the patient suffering from cancer. Neutropenia in cancer patients has presented a consistent relationship with the infection. The duration of treatment in infections, depends on whether the patient is neutropenic or not. If the count absolute neutrophil 500cel/ul rises beyond the patient and does not develop febrile episodes with no evidence of infection is sufficient for 7 to l0 days with antibiotics. Fever is basically infection of the body. However, only half of all patients with cancer who develop fever are possible to find a particular basis of illness. Fever can become on a serious condition if there is a low level of leukocytes. During that period of fever, the normal defenses of body against infection are basically low and it needs to be evaluated immediately.

Sometimes, fever and the disease of chemotherapy are equivalently related because patients receiving chemotherapy and biological treatment may have a fever and "flu-like syndrome.

Discussion

There must be a complete X ray of the chest to look inside the chest. This is one of the painless and rapid procedures which diagnose the condition of ribs, lungs, and heat (Ibrahim, E.H et al, 146-155).

Danger of Neutropenic sepsis

The fever and Neutropenic sepsis are associated with increased risk of mortality in Patients with solid tumors by the greater number of doses of chemotherapy.

If you suspect an infection, repeated chest radiographs to compare them. Patients need to contact their health care if they are suffering from the fever of 38.5, 100 or more degree centigrade. Meet the chemotherapy drugs you receive, list them, and if possible to cause a reduction in leukocyte count. If you are receiving chemotherapy likely to cause a reduction in leukocyte count, patient must check their temperature if they feel fever with flu-like syndrome. If you have fever, take a warm bath. You can also put ice-packs or cold compresses in the body. Patients must put wet cold cloth on neck or forehead to feel comfort.
