BACKGROUND OF THE RESEARCH STUDY
The research study is based on setting a strategic business plan encompassing the Arab values to increase the commitment level of workers in the Arab world. The main focus of the research will be “relating a generic strategic business plan to Arab values then testing the effect of the concept on employees work commitment level. This study will test the concept in Saudi Arabia and suggests that future research take the concept forward and test it in other Arab countries”. No ambitious organization can progress without planning and engaging employees in their work lives. Although many tools are used to reach an organization's goal, employees' commitment and involvement in the process of operating an organization is one of the most important aspects to succeed. As Americans highlighted the importance of time, price and quality and Japanese created models that focus on continues improvement and minimizing waste. This research will look into the Arab world history to learn lessons and derive wisdom from the Arab golden era to reflect these values in a modern strategic business plan.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
The research study highlights an important topic in today's business environment especially that more research is recommended by different studies done in the areas of Arab and Islamic work ethics. “I'm trying to relate Arab Values and Islamic work ethics to employee's commitment level by plotting these values in a strategic business plan then market this plan in the Arab world using the 4ps marketing mix (www.ejbo.jyu.fi/pdf/ejbo_vol15_no1_pages_21-27.pdf)
Aims and Objectives of the Research Study
The research aims and objectives are to:
Highlight the key points of the strategic business plan that can be helpful for enhancing the employee's motivation level.
Suggest a strategic business plan that can be incorporated within the Saudi companies for increasing the employee's motivation level.
Brainstorm Arab and Islamic values that relate to business goals then relate them to strategic business plans in Saudi companies.
Test employees' commitment level before and after implementing the business plan
