Leadership is one of the issues in the field of business, is widely discussed and studied. Numerous books, articles and experts continue to cover aspects of leadership, especially that related to the nature and behavior of good leaders, and the structure and characteristics of organizations in which they perform and develop. However, despite all this, it remains one of the least understood phenomena. This paper will present the case of Marilyn Calson Nelson in an attempt to highlight the true essence of leadership.

There are many different roles of women in life. When she comes into this world, her first relationship starts by being a daughter to her parents, then a sister, a wife and then a mother. Women are known to nurture, be a caregiver, and homemakers, but today's woman is a lot more than all of the above. Today's woman is an astronaut, a doctor, an engineer, prime minister and many more, she is not just a caregiver but she is someone who is standing hand in hand next to a man in the board room. When her father died in 1999, Marilyn Carlson Nelson inherits a large conglomerate comprising hotels, restaurants and various activities related to tourism and travel. She became the only woman in the world to run a company of this size. Very active in the development of group activities, she is currently working on the implementation of its chain restaurants and hotels in China, Taiwan and India (Anderson, 2009). Three children, Marilyn Carlson Nelson also leads the family philanthropic foundation, which develops educational projects. Meanwhile, she serves on several boards of companies, hospitals and universities. Recently appointed by George W. Bush to head the National Council of Women of the United States, Marilyn Carlson Nelson appears in the Forbes 2006. At the age of 67 consecutive years, Marilyn Carlson Nelson remains active in business and a 516 account in the list of richest people in the world according to Forbes magazine.
The leader is a creator of new realities, a person of vision, the "dream" has to help build the dreams and turn them into reality, despite the difficult this is. Why you should engage all efforts to what sometimes seems impossible, because it's done best. The vision or dream (which I aspire to reach been a person, based on my project life, or a group or a company wants to be achieved in the future) must shared to everyone on the same direction (Chandler, 2008). And should relate to the mission, or the reason for my life, with what I require my condition as a person rational, spiritual and free.
