Legalization of marijuana would also lead to mass production of hemp, a renewable resource. Marijuana and hemp can be grown as organically, so that there would be no need for harsh chemicals that damage the environment (Earlywine, p. 77-85). Besides the economic and environmental benefits, the most important advantage of all the medicinal use of marijuana.
