Introduction
The 2010 Commonwealth sport are the nineteenth Commonwealth sport, and the ninth to be held under that name. The sport are scheduled to be held in Delhi, India between 3 October and 14 October 2010. The sport will be the biggest multi-sport happening undertook to designated day in Delhi and India generally, which has before hosted the Asian sport in 1951 and 1982. The opening ceremony is arranged to take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. It will also be the first time the Commonwealth Games will be held in India and the second time the happening has been held in Asia (after 1998 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).

The organisation was beset by hold ups: in January 2010 , the Indian Olympic Association vice-chairman Raja Randhir Singh conveyed concern that Delhi was not up to pace in forming and coordinating its games managing group and, following a 2009 Indian Government report displaying two thirds of venues were behind agenda, Commonwealth Games Federation leader Mike Fennell asserted that the slow progress of groundworks comprised a serious risk to the event Singh called for a revamp of the games' coordinating committees. Costs
The total budget estimated for hosting the Games is 1.6billion and this amount excludes non-sports-related infrastructure development in the city like airports, roads and other structures. This will expected make the 2010 Commonwealth Games the most costly Commonwealth Games ever being bigger than the previous games in Melbourne 2006 (approx. US$ 1.1 billion).
Transport
Delhi proposed a four-lane, 2.2 km below ground extend from Lodhi Road to trans-Yamuna, connecting the sport Village to the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and reducing journeying time between the town and the Stadium to six minutes.
In answer to concerns over the large number of trains that overtake by the Delhi metropolitan district daily, construction of street under-bridges and over-bridges along railway lines has been started. To expand road infrastructure, flyovers, cloverleaf flyovers, and connections have been designed to advance links for the sport and city in general. Road-widening projects have begun with an focus being put on increasing national highways.
