This research paper represents the disaster brought by the blow out and, the oil spill of the Macondo 252 well in the Gulf of Mexico. This paper presents the discussion about the oil spill to the wide area and, certain environmental impacts. Paper also discusses the causes and investigations of the case with certain limitations, scope and justifications.

Macondo Oil Spill
Introduction
In April 20, 2010, the horizon rig of deep water killed 11 workers and, there was the spill of oil of about 5 million barrels into the Gulf of Mexico. The oil spill was observed through the well of Macondo and, this news brought too much attention of oil and gas industrialists as it brought too much loss to BRITISH PETROLEUM (Oil Spill News, 2010).
Purpose
The purpose of the study is to describe the disasters brought by the damage, spreading of the oil spill to wide spread areas and other environmental impacts after the blowout.
Justification
The justification for this study is to generate the awareness for the present and future economics.
Limitations
The limitations are due to the non-availability of the data from the technical group and other survey held after the oil spill. Due to non availability of the data on online sources and, other surveys, names of workers killed in the blowout were not available.
Discussion
The deep water horizon oil spill is also known as the BRITISH PETROLEUM oil spill and, the Macondo blowout. This was the flow of oil in the Gulf of Mexico and, oil spill was observed for three months in 2010. It is considered as the largest disaster of the blowout in the history of petroleum industry. There was the explosion of the deep water horizon well and, well was drilled under the supervision of BRITISH PETROLEUM. This explosion killed 11 workers on the spot and, injured 17 other employees. The reason behind this oil spill was the capping of the gushing wellhead and, it had released about 4.9 million barrel of crude oil and, according to the estimation it was 53000 barrels per day. On 19th September, the procedure of relief well was successfully completed and, well was declared dead by the Federal Government. In August 2011, oil covering on various square miles of water was not reaching the surface far from BRITISH PETROLEUM's Macondo well. Analysis from scientific methods claimed that oil is found to be a chemical match for Macondo 252. It was not easy to recover the oil because it was too dispersed. In March 2012, persistent oil seen was observed near the Macondo 252 (Oil Spill News., 2010).
Damage
This spill caused a great loss to the wild life and environment. It also gave destruction to the tourism and fishing industries. A research team observed that oil was present on the bottom of the sea floor in 2011. Because of the several chemicals release from this oil, several fish and crabs were found ...
