Niccolò Machiavelli was one of the most influential and controversial thinker of Western Political History during the sixteenth century. He had contributions in wide ranging collections of writing and his efforts were practical and theoretical not only in Italian Literature but other literatures as well. The writings of Machiavelli was not only different but each one of them had amazing ideas and new thoughts which are even remembered today as one of the most diversified literatures carried out by any author. He faced tough times in his hometown and even got imprisoned because the ruling elite were not able to tolerate him because of his new ideas and thoughts regarding the political system and during imprisonment he wrote his writings to convey his thoughts to the public because his hometown Florence was unstable and in riot, so his wish was to see Florence as a stable and peaceful city. He pointed out some problems in the current political structure and said “society is made up of two principal groups or classes: the grandi (elites) and the popolari (the people). These two groups will never see eye to eye, as they have different interests. The main idea which he presented after completely examining the political structure was that the ethics must be separated from politics. It didn't mean that he did not give any importance to the morals but he wanted peace, stability and prosperity.
