Introduction

The cause of uncontrolled cell growth in the lung tissue causes Lung Cancer. In case if the cancer is left untreated the disease will spread throughout the lungs and beyond; this process is called metastasis. All around the world the most common type of cancer is lung cancer. Many men as well as women, die of cancer related death. The main symptoms of Lung Cancer start with weight loss along with coughing up blood and even shortness of breath.

The scientific name of lung cancer is sternocleidomastoids. Cancer can arise in any part of the lungs; even then most of the lung cancer begins from the epithelial cells. This cell which are lining the larger as well as the smaller airways of the lungs, due to this reason the term lung cancer is often changed with bronchogenic cancer. The cancer can also originate from the blood vessels which are the supporting tissues of the lungs.

Lung cancer is said to be the most deadly of all cancers. Lung cancer hampers the lungs as it initiates in the cell of the patients lungs. Two types of lung cancer are there which are as following:

NSCLC which stands for Non small Cell lung cancer which is the most common type of lung cancer among the patients, . The other is (SML) Small cell lung cancer. Nearly 20% of the cases are made up of this type of lung cancer (Wozniak et al , 2010).

Lung cancer can even occur to people who have never smoked, since there is no such evidence yet proved that lower the intake of cigarette can decrease the possibility of lung cancer or higher the chances of survival.

Lung cancer is hereditary; people can have this disease if there is a family history of Lung cancer. Yet these are not the only symptoms ...
