This case is about the patient who is a 66 year old man dock worker from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who made an appointment with his family physician because of a recent episode of hematemesis and forgetfulness. In his history, he reluctantly acknowledges smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day for the past 30 years, and having 2-3 glasses of brown liquor per day x 30 years.
