Slip Opinion is a single judicial decision that is published as an individual paper following its issuance and in advance of its being incorporated into a volume of decisions. It is, unlike an unpublished opinion, ordinarily citable as precedent. See also advance sheets and reports (McDonald, 2006). It is an opinion that is either not published or not yet published in a reporter. Slip opinions generally are available from the court directly either in print or on its web site, and often also available on Lexis or Westlaw.
