Question 1: Experiencing : Identifying How You Learn ?

According to Kolb's (1984) Experiential discovering idea, discovering is as an interactive process engaging four distinct discovering modes, which form two bipolar dimensions of discovering: i.e., the individual's preference for an abstract vs solid grasping of data from experience (Abstract Conceptualization—Concrete know-how) and for portraying vs mirroring upon the grasped data (Active Experimentation—Reflective Observation). Every individual utilizes each of the four discovering modes to some span but furthermore has a favoured discovering style, which outcomes from the combination of the overhead discovering modes. Kolb has recounted four learning methods: the convergent (AC/AE), the divergent (CE/RO), the assimilative (RO/AC), and the accommodative (AE/CE). A high score on solid know-how comprises a receptive, experience-based approach to discovering that relies very strongly on feeling-based judgments. High CE individuals are inclined to be empathetic and "people-oriented." They usually find theoretical advances to be unhelpful and favour to treat each position as a exclusive case. They discover best from exact examples in which they can become involved. persons who emphasize solid know-how are inclined to be oriented more in the direction of gazes and less toward authority in their approach to discovering, and advantage most from repsonse and discussion with fellow CE learners.

Q2: Reflecting : Exploring The Many Contexts In Which You Learn

Observing, reflect on how it will impact some facet of life. A high tally in reflective observation shows a tentative, impartial and reflective approach to learning. Learners prefer learning situations such as lectures that allow the role of impartial objective observers. While there are plenty of studies done on learning styles, there does not seem to be any agreement or approval of any one theory. A research report from the Learning and Skills Research Center (Coffield, 2004 & 2008) studied many learning style models and did a critique of experimental learning style theories. This study questions the reliability, validity and significance of learning methods in general. In addition, the authors have criticized some of the research that has used these models including the Kolb's learning style model and disagreed with the way researchers came to their conclusions. Questions regarding the reliability of Kolb's LSI have also been raised by other researchers (Newstead, 1992).

A high tally on Abstract Conceptualization shows an analytical, conceptual approach to learning that relies heavily on ordered conceiving and reasonable evaluation. High AC individuals are inclined to ...
