INTRODUCTION TO THE RESEARCH TOPIC

'Leadership' or 'leading' implies the process of social influence where a person can make grave use of his own available resource and at the same time get the work done from his colleagues and subordinates. There are people who are distinguished from all others, not by natural talent or knowledge but for his ability to inspire others to dream and make your dreams come true, to generate passion and energy into everything they do and transmit it to the people around them Their role, there is a huge difference between being a leader and being a boss, which is limited to meet senior managers and find that the people around you do what is required. In this study we try to explore the concept of leadership in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on leadership and its relation with organizational development. The research also analyzes many aspects of leadership and tries to gauge its effect on individual growth of employees and the final impact it has on organizational performance. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for undertaking effective leadership roles and tries to describe the overall effect of leadership on individual and collective improvement, growth and extension of the organization.

LITERATURE REVIEW

For the purpose and objective of understanding and comprehending, individuals need to see and understand the credibility of the leaders and the leadership that has been used towards taking the organization to a whole new level (Avolio, 2005, p. 441). When discussing leadership, there have been several theories, assumptions made and hypothesis claimed, when it comes to considering what has been the most effective form of leadership, which delivers outstanding performance (Bryman, 2006, pp. 63). In order to develop this paper, we shall be discussing:

1.Leadership and its definition;

2.Leadership styles;

3.Leadership in the 21st century;

4.Organizational needs and Leadership; and

5.Relationship between HRM and Leadership.

The leader is someone respected, admired, and followed by his team. He builds the best conditions for your organization forward, always giving the example, and implementing projects from start to finish (Collins and Holton, 2004, pp. 217).

He knows how to interpret what happens inside and outside the company, and manages, through his entrepreneurial vision and management skills, become him and his company more competitive in the market (Foschi and Lombardo, 2006, pp. 86). A leader known for creating the future promotes and directs the changes in your life and the organization he works for, is sociable, promotes its growth and the people around you, is tolerant, flexible, and takes risks ...
