The leader has a special set of challenges bringing together disparate groups in an effort to resolve boundary and relational issues between them. However, this work must be considered as fundamental to the role of the leader in every business setting. Furthermore, the leader must help the professional groups supply time and commitment to addressing the specifics of the conflict that may impede their ability to relate and impact business operations (McMahon 2010). The leader must have the groups focused on their common interests, such as advancing efficiency or effectiveness, rather than allow them to continue to focus on their positions.
This creates some common ground upon which solution can be sought. In addition, the leader must help the groups deal with their resolution by using objective data. This translates passion and feeling derived from an experiential or perceived framework into a framework reflecting data driven evidence regarding actual activity and its impact. Building a data, generating process (research) helps create the objective framework around which differing groups or professions can converge. In health care, the generation and use of objective data can provide a strong framework for common action in the resolution of interest-based conflicts.
Discussion
According to Krumov et al One of the most distinctive features of societies in post-totalitarian era is the expanding upon of conflict. In the changeover from authoritarianism to democracy, conflict is accompanied by the changes of the societal domains such as culture, economics, personality, and politics and so on (McMahon 2010). The most striking and hard disputes to manage are the economical ones. These conflicts always come forth, arise, and let up within an applied organisation or system. It is exactly the construction and features of the system that influences the forces and the evolution of the conflict. Also, these features also impact the settlement and disappearing of the conflict. For the purpose, Krum et al conducted an empirical study with the purpose of identifying the conflicts dynamics within ever-changing organizations in Bulgaria. The study also had the goal of revealing the distinguishing characteristics in reference to conflict evolution depending on the demographical variables such as age, gender, and position of the participants in the hierarchy of an organization (Krumov et al 1997). The study also proposed to discover the basic strategies for conflict resolutions as are applicable in developing organizations. The study concluded that preferences exist in the choice of strategy for dealing with conflicts in the conversion to free enterprise. Regardless to the demographic variability of the participants, it was found that managers put the integrating conflict resolution strategy foremost and attempt to figure out jobs cooperatively. This is followed by the preference for compromising strategy, which is also potentially beneficial especially in developing practical and successful solutions (Krumov et al 1997).
