Introduction

In order to be an effective leader, a leader must be able to influence followers to comply and prescribe to their organizational vision. Leaders are able to influence an organization by directing decisions, controlling resources, providing rewards, approving promotions, and modeling expected behaviors. By controlling these influence processes, leaders are able to effect organizational change and create the heart and soul of the organization (Coates & Joseph, 1994).

Discussion Analysis

I would like to introduce three women that perfectly correlate to contemporary idea of leadership. They are Andrea Jung, Indra Nooyi, and Brenda Barnes. They are successful leaders within the huge corporations responsible for a number of people and they perfectly understand the fact what does it mean to be a leader, a successful leader.

Andrea Jung and her constantly new vision of Avon leadership based on trust and support is probably one of the best illustrations to the contemporary vision of emotionally oriented leadership. She is the one who uses the newest technologies and does not afraid any innovative practice. Her success and popularity is undoubtedly the best reward for using the individually oriented approach and emotional intelligence leadership (Goleman. 2006). Understanding that the future lies in the individual strategies and empowerment Andre Jung was the one who dared and tried the new practice reforming huge corporation. Her new vision and individually oriented strategies are representing the future of the leadership, it development and female supportive evidence. Andrea Jung is the one who understands the role of motivation in business that is why she is the one who provides empowerment practice, to make Avon the top company.

She makes the company anything and everything for a woman that characterizes her as an understanding psychologist, who is well aware about contradictory of female nature. Her strategy is the new word, new understanding and realizing innovation in practice. The future is for such strategies provided by successful women, such as Andrea Jung. It should be noted that Andrea Jung also understand the problem of racial discrimination and her success is the best illustration for racial equality.
