Global Leadership

Global Leadership is the study of interdisciplinary key components that acquire future leaders in all realms of individual experience with the geographical, psychological, geopolitical, physiological, sociological and anthropological effects of globalization. Global leadership takes place, when individuals or individual pilot cooperative efforts of different stakeholders via environmental intricacy for an idea by a global mindset.

Competency

The term competency is determined as an ability or capability. It is a sequence of associated sets of behavior which are ordered about an essential construct. Scholars define competence as a mixture of behavior, skills and knowledge, which is used to develop performance. For example, management competency may comprise emotional intelligence and systems thinking, with the inclusion of negotiation skills.

Global Leadership Competency

Leadership competencies are grounded on behaviors and leadership skills that lead to the higher performance concept at workplace. Organizations can better develop and identify their next generation, by using a competency-based approach, for finding a superior individual who can demonstrate a terrific job. The mission domain of global leadership constructs it difficult to identify competencies that match to the standard of leadership skills. There are three fundamental standards that have to be encountered for defining characteristic of individual as a competency.

The Pyramid Model of Global Leadership

The model of global leadership illustrates five core components which are essential to meet the criteria of global leadership.
