I decided to interview a man named Christopher Homewood. Currently, I am a Liaison and Recruiter for Target in the District 206 (San Bernardino, Riverside, and Inland Empire). I have heard about this man and what he has been doing for the District I have been working for. Just recently I needed to and started working with Christopher Homewood. His personality and work ethics impressed me. His nature seems to suite my leadership style.
Before the informational interview day came I took a couple of days to jot down ideas and questions that I would like to ask Mr. Homewood. Finally the morning came for our interview. I was dressed professional for the information interview in red dress shirt and a pair of kakis slacks. The interview was conducted at the District headquarters in Fontana. I made sure to give a firm hand shake and greeted myself. My impression of Mr. Christopher Homewood was that he was laid back and was easy going, but was a man who wanted results and things done.
What an excellent informational interview to be a part of. He seemed to recharge my spirits about my career with Target. The interview lasted about an hour before he had to rush off to stores assessments. It was just another day in a life of a District Team Leader.
I was left with an impression that he was an excellent leader and he had great ambition. I knew that this left me with lots of my questions answered. I was afraid that with such a large corporate company that I may be lost in it all. That maybe my opinions and ideas may not be heard. It is great to know that my opinions still can count in a big company and that they value and look for leaders who content these traits, to be strong and bold.
I was glad to hear that the company District Team Leader is so involved with other events and planning beside just at store level duties. I am person who likes to get involved with the community. I liked the idea is that the District Team Leader is there to assist the stores and improve each other as a team.
