Immediate Supervisor
Me immediate supervisor displayed the following qualities:
A successful leader is a good listener
A successful leader has the ability to acknowledge the need to change
Successful leaders are passionate at what they do
Attentiveness
Takes initiatives
Power of influence
My immediate supervisor is always sure about himself. He is a self assured man. He is always taking initiatives. If there is a problem, he is always the first one to identify it. He not only identifies the problem but always comes up with the solution too. He is charismatic and has a great influence on all the people reporting to him.
Yes my supervisor always makes decisions, and he is and responsible for managing majority of workplace changes in our domain. There was a scenario when the marketing manager in our domain had to decide on a certain pricing strategy. There was one which made more sense in terms of greater market penetration. And there was another whereby the company was charging a little higher than the previous pricing strategy but was ensuring long term retention of customers. It was my supervisor's decision to go with the latter and we have seen over a period of time that his strategy was a well chosen decision.
Our organization is very particular and each decision taking by any of the employer can cost them their job for every employee is accountable for all their actions. My supervisor took a risk but it worked out in the favour of the company and paid off in the form of increase in the percentage of repeat sales.
