Over the course of the past half-millennium, the 33 nations that now comprise Latin America and the Caribbean have gone through drastic change. Since the breakthrough of the New World in 1492, each homeland has gone through some grade of colonization by a European power and transition to its present state. During this time span the districts have glimpsed political, communal, devout and financial transformations of diverse degrees(Buenker, 2004). Nevertheless, numerous scholars contend that despite of the alterations came across, numerous are only on the exterior with little to no significant change instilled.
