People get fired for being gay or transgender. Private and public companies should not have the right to fire someone based upon gender identity or sexual orientation.

Background
"Quest for racial integration would trigger similar aspirations of individual rights of another different group of people at this time, gays and lesbians in society. The quest for equal rights for people who have been unjustly repressed for hundreds of years, will encourage and lead to yet another group of citizens (McGuire, 2005). Although their origin may be quite different, their goals remain the same as it remains for all members of American society, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The civil rights movement in the mid 20th century followed in the gay movement in the second half of this century. Their methods, arguments and conclusions clearly shows (Oakley, 2006), and it seems as if they probably took a lot of it to build their own arguments in favor of its own affairs. I think that gay people support their cause, or at least how they fought to get freedom and rights that they deserve, of course.

Gay rights movement, which occurred later in the century, shared many similarities with other traffic. Most importantly, both movements were fighting for the right of the people who are discriminated against because of what they themselves can not help or change, and that is not relevant to the rights that they would like (Stromberg, & Harkess, 2008).
