Virginia Woolf a British intellectual wrote the essay “Mr. and Mrs. Bennett in 1923. The essay is an account of the modern novel version that Woolf is supportive of. Woolf attempts in her essay to provide an intrinsic explanation for the changes she feels that need to be made in literature. The writer focuses on this stress by entailing the changes that the characters of humans have gone through in history. Woolf who wrote mostly about the Spanish Civil War has inherited ideas that are very much in contrast to those of Anne with regards to literature and modern writing. The most noteworthy point to note when these two authors are compared and contrasted is their personal views which they have given relating to writing and literature.
Woolf has mainly elucidated the changes that novels have undergone through history (Roe & Sellers, 2000). Anne focuses on the theme of motivating writers to continue writing without fearing for the results. Anne wants to provide the writers with a sense of creative freedom, and in this freedom she reminds them that they can be out of control.
