Introduction

The nursing is a noble profession that provides care and assistance to the patients. The role of nurse in hospitals is extremely significant as they are involved in the number of influential work. They are not only involved in the provision of medicines to the patients, but they are also present in the important decisions taken by the administration. There are many decisions that are taken by the nurses in the recruitment process of hospital staff. The role of nurses is not limited to treating and helping the doctors in treatment, but they also take an active part in the supervision of the hospitals.

Philosophy of Nursing

Nursing is a demanding profession and necessitate essential thinking and excellent communication skills (Betty, Pamela, 2005). No matter the setting whether it is in the hospital or a community, nurses receive the same reward of helping people. Nursing has come a long way since Florence Nightingale and will continue to evolve well beyond into the future. Nursing is a leading profession in the sphere of healthcare. The profession is in a crucial transition. With the passage, of time it has become more sophisticated and reaches high to achieve a better status and demands great respect and admiration (Betty and Pamela, 2005, 17 - 21).

Nursing philosophy, in general, can be defined as a conceptual model or framework providing a frame of reference for nurses to guide their thinking, observations, interpretations, and practices. My personal philosophy of nursing is Betty Neuman's Health Care Systems approach, which views both the client and the practice of nursing as systemic in nature. As to the concepts of the nursing metaparadigm, Neuman and Fawcett define the client holistic, tie health and well-being to the holistic nature of the human being, interpolate the environment as comprised of extrinsic and intrinsic variables, and characterize the profession of nursing as the facilitation of total wellness or well-being (Betty and Pamela, 2005, 17 - 21).

Nursing Leadership

Nursing leadership is a process that promotes the improvement of conditions health and life of the population, the achievement of care goals characteristic of the profession, and achieves the goals proposed in the health services. Therefore, it is a social, professional organizational process. It promotes the social, professional and organizational. Given the importance of leadership as a promoter of development, it is necessary more, and more nurses have the skills to practice with master this process in the area where they play. The need becomes greater if it takes into account the high demands that exposed to health institutions. Nowadays, competition, quality and productivity are main concerns.
