Kentucky Kingdom, located in Louisville, Kentucky, was the ninth amusement park to use the Six Flags name. It has many attractions such as Chang, one of the world's longest steel stand-up roller coasters. The park also included a free water park called Splashwater Kingdom. The park was built on 58 acres (230,000 m2) of land, 38 of which were leased from the Kentucky State Fair Board. The park operated seasonally in 1987, and again from 1990 to 2009.
