Most of the young people are being trapped in the unethical and unacceptable acts like drugs, gambling, and many illegal acts. Majority of the youth is misled by unscrupulous companies and are becoming addictive to alcoholism, smoking and drug intoxication. Many are sacrificing their studies and their very costly time of personal development into bad companies such as drunken groups and gangs which results in social aggression and violence. Plus, most of the young people are victims of unethical fashions like bullying, rape, harassment, gang fighting and many other abuses. Thus, the youth and the children of the present generation are in to the adversities of juvenile delinquency. Nevertheless, society has recognized the increasing problem of juvenile delinquency and many citizens who are concerned about the future of the society are establishing nonprofit organizations. These organizations help the young people to develop themselves in a proper way. Delinquency exists in societies where there are concepts of adolescence. If there are no concepts of adolescence, then the concept of delinquency has no point of reference. If the social structure embraces childhood with an initiation into impending adulthood, then adolescence is not conceivable. Children move immediately into their adult roles, meaning that they take on the responsibilities and tasks that their elders have prepared them for. Delinquency, and the attitudes associated with it, is an extension of childhood roles that are eliminated in a culture that initiates children into adult roles.

What is juvenile delinquency? In common parlance, there is an understanding of juvenile delinquency as meaning adolescents breaking the law or participating in mischievous behavior. However, a catastrophe is being faced by the present generation of young people. The development on an individual basis is being caught up by the tests and challenges of juvenile delinquency. (Smith, 2010)
