Security and justice plays an essential part in maintain order in a country. There must be a proper balance in the administration of justice and security. This paper discusses the evolution of justice and security in the 21st century and the importance of the proper balance between justice and security. This paper also includes the impact of the changes in technology and advancements in justice and security system.

Balance In the Administration of Justice and Security

Introduction

Many years ago, people used to complain about the injustice in the society. The rate of injustice has decreased in the last century but there is still injustice in the criminal justice system. This is the reason why difficulties have been created for countries to respect the individual's and offender's rights. The offenders are treated in a different way as compared to the normal citizens. They are not given equal opportunities and rights. They are faced with severe punishments and consequences like death penalties. The security and justice system has evolved in the last couple of years which has changed a lot of things in the security and justice.

In the 21st century, the evolution of security and justice have take place due to latest technologies and laws which has given the countries, the authority to develop different forms of punishments for the promotion of justice. This evolution of justice and security has led to promotion of rights being included in the constitution as compared to in the past, so that a balance is created. The governments of different countries have established such a constitution which provides citizens with proper security and justice. Many issues and concerns exist concerning the legal environment in the prevalence of the constitution and justice. Some of the examples of these issues and concerns include authority, mutual understanding, fairness and retributive measures. Other issues about the rights of the citizens and safety and order maintenance also prevail including the intrusion with the rights of the citizens which the constitution granted. The changes in the mass media and technology have brought security and justice in the country. Proper balance is essential to maintain justice and security in a country.

Evolution of Justice and Security

The security and justice has evolved in the 21st century due to the result of the latest policies which have been developed within the country to promote justice and security. Majority of the countries have designed certain policies which governs how the criminal activities of the counties can be properly taken care for. Criminal activities have been curbed as the countries have increased the surveillance activities. For instance, America has created anti terrorist policies that assist the country in preventing terrorist activities. The policy focuses on providing safety to the residents of United States (Fairchild, 2001).
