Rhetorical Precis
In today's world, media is most influential elements for the society. There are various kinds of media such as print media (news paper, magazines) and electronic media (television and internet). Media is supposed to be medium or mean to communicate with large number of audience such as television. One can communicate with his or her target audience such as particular type of magazines.
Evaluation
It is the responsibility of a journalist to provide the information to his or her viewers. Journalist should report about the events and incidents happened in their society. There are many ways to design the presentation of any news, report and event. It is a fact that the presentation of any report has influence on the readers or viewers who are interested in that report or news. The decision relating to the presentation of the report should be determine by the editorial staff, not by any person outside from the editor office.
Note #1
This guideline is very important because it is also possible that any particular person, organization or any other entity will like to influence the presentation of the news to make it more attractive or to gather less amount of attraction (Berry et.al, pp. 21).
Note #2
In real world, there are number of such examples where any particular person or entity tried to change the presentation of the news to achieve their personal and hidden objectives (Berry et.al, pp. 25).
Note #3
The reason behind this is to make impression of the news which goes in the favor of that respective body. Sometime organizations want to highlight the negative news or happening of bad events related to their competitors because it will devalue the reputation of their competitor. It is also possible that political parties want to give unnecessary attention on any issue which derails the reputation of the rivalry or opposition party (Berry et.al, pp. 27).
Note #4
These political parties try to persuade journalist to amend the presentation of the news in their favor by giving them advantages and also use threatening behavior (Berry et.al, pp. 28).
Note #5
These things help in providing wrong news to general public an eventually end up in developing wrong sentiments among the members of the society. It is the right of the journalist body to not to listen to such individuals who want to alter the presentation of the news or the news itself. In case of threats it is the moral obligation of the journalist body to resist such threats and remain unbiased in reporting any news or presenting any news(Berry et.al, pp. 29).
