Organizational Change and Stress Management: Job Burnout
Introduction
Job burnout is defined by some authors as one of the most striking consequences of professional stress, and is characterized by emotional exhaustion, negative evaluation of oneself, depression and insensitivity with respect to almost everything and everyone. In other terms, burnout syndrome represent a picture we might call “bored” or “I cannot stand.” The term burnout is a composition of burn and out, suggesting that a person with that kind of stress consumes up physically and emotionally, going to present an aggressive and irritable attitude.
