The political climate in Italy has reached a point of hardness that is no longer tolerable and endanger democracy itself Italian. The clashes between institutions, the continued attacks of the Government to the magistrates, civil society and free press cannot be underestimated by the Head of State. The climax was reached yesterday when the Prime Minister has launched yet another attack on the judges guilty, according to him, to do their duty and investigate crimes (Vassilis, pp 76). Because the Prime Minister has spoken openly of an alliance between the subversive President of the Chamber and the National Association of Magistrates, a very serious accusation that cannot and must not pass over in silence or be interpreted simply as the ' yet another mockery of this Premier. That accusation deserves a thorough and timely investigation by the Head of State and bodies. At this point the President of the Republic, even in his capacity as head of the CSM, is obliged to convene the President of the Council and to demand proof of what he said. If this does not happen, that is, as might be expected if the Prime Minister did not provide evidence of what has been said publicly, must immediately activate the procedure for dismissal of the Premier (Spencer, pp 14).
Silvio Berlusconi has been indicted for his involvement in a number of scandals over the past 17 years. Why one should pay prostitutes and interfere in police investigations, in extremely serious cases of corruption that led to the condemnation of some of his closest aides for crimes including the bribery of judges, final sentence, perjury, perjury, and collusion with the Mafia, the Italians nonetheless continue to support him, despite the overwhelming evidence of his moral position?
In almost all other democratic countries, it would be enough to reach the end of his political career. But the Italians have a very cynical towards their political leaders. They got convinced that “everybody does it", can be sure that the impact on crimes and misdemeanors Berlusconi is actually a signal that is being persecuted (Ginsborg, pp 42).
This belief is supported by much of the Italian media, which is controlled by Berlusconi. Even the media are not totally intimidated him or drunk. Much of the evidence of a scandal (as in the past) was not transferred to the main news of the Italian state television, which along with the networks Berlusconi came to own nearly 90 percent of the market in a country where 70 - 80 percent of the population receives television news. The lack of a strong and credible opposition is also a prerequisite for understanding the tenacity of Berlusconi. The center-left government of Romano Prodi, elected in 2006, was composed of nine different parties bickering constantly, during the short life of the government, paving the way for the return of Berlusconi in 2008(David, pp 65).
