Ishtar Gate a monumental gate in ancient Babylon built during the reign of Nebuchadnezzar II, who reigned in the years 605 - 562 BC and dedicated to the goddess Ishtar. It was the northern gateway of the city, Processional route, which stretched all the way to the temple of Marduk - Esagila.
