In this paper, we will be discussing the impact of IOM report on the nursing education, nursing in primary care, and the role of a nurse as a leader. The paper will be based on the discussion in IOM report.

It can be said that IOM report indicates the significance of nursing education because it is essential for the health care to be productive with the help of educated nurses. The report states that nurses must practice their education and training to the full extent. In addition, nurses must achieve a level of education with the assistance of improved education system, which promotes seamless academic progression (iom.edu). They must understand their responsibility as being the full partner in the health care system for redesigning it with better opportunities and health care. For this purpose, they will have to work as team and in partnership with other healthcare professionals and they have to understand the significance of working as a team to maintain a good relationship with other personnel.
