Abstract
In this study we have tried to explore the concept of “Investigation of the suitability of an open source ERP system to implement a business process” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research was on “suitability of ERP system” and its relation with “and its impact on open source system”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “Enterprise Resource Planning” and tries to gauge its effect on “business process”. Finally the research has described various factors which were responsible for “Investigation of the suitability of an open source ERP system to implement a business process”. ERP application is made up of numerous software modules which integrates numerous significant undertakings in an organisation. In short ERP is a coordinated pattern of software, hardware and business directions of an organisation and work simultaneously to accomplish a widespread aim i.e. the reliable flow of information inside an organisation. While for a long time open source software was only renowned by insiders of the information technology commerce, it has lately triggered vigilance by the public and by discovery researchers. Different study groups address this locality from diverse points of view. Among the study axes that are now hardworking, we can, particularly, observe a increasing concern on the post-implementation stage of the tasks, on the customization of ERP systems, on the sociological facets of the implementation, on the interoperability of the ERP with other systems and on the come back on buying into of the implementations.
