Measures of Central Tendency

The measure of central tendency is a terminology in the field of descriptive statistics. The measures of central tendency are the mode, median and the arithmetic mean. The mode is the value that occurs most frequently within the distribution, i.e. on a graph would be the value at which the frequency distribution reaches its maximum. The median is the middle value when all data have been arranged in numerical order: exactly half of the data lying above the median and half fall below.
